i hope and pray all is well with you! Once again it's taken me way too long to write this newsletter, forgive me.
To start the Month of March i had the opportunity to lead a group of students on a class trip to London. We did a church history tour (Lead by Pastor Marshall Alnut), did some site seeing on our down time, ate a whole lot :), attended a couple Bible studies, and were blessed beyond measure with AMAZING fellowship! Thanks again to all the families who took us in and made us feel at home. There's nothing like the family of God! CC South London (Rob, Pat, Efrem & the gang) CC Docklands (Marshall & fam) and everyone in between, Love you guys!
the Lord continues to bless the ministry here in Mallorca, and i am continually floored that He's chosen me to be a part of it all. The Lord is beyond GOOD! Over the month of March i was blessed to have witnessed 2 men (Sasha and Johnny) give their hearts and lives to the Lord Jesus! It has been truly amazing to be a part of their lives, to pray with them, and have the opportunity to share in the word with Sasha, but most of all to see the Change in their lives. I cannot and will never understand how anyone can deny the reality of the Lord Jesus Christ after seeing someone radically changed through simply placing their trust in Christ. To God be the glory forever, and ever, and ever....Shortly after they committed their lives to the Lord They were both baptized in the sea right outside my flat. Praise God!
We also had an easter play "He is Alive," in which i was a last minute addition. i played the part of one of the Disciples...it was a short roll...and i didn't have any lines...but my name was in the program nonetheless haha! It was an amazing performance that touched the hearts and lives of so many.
TEACHING/CLASS/PRACTICAL MINISTRY:
Class has been going well, the Lord is blessing! We finished the Book of Galatians and am now going through Ephesians. There's only 4 more classes until the semester ends, i can't believe how fast time fly's. I also continue to help out/am involved with the Friday night youth group, hanging with the kids and teaching every 2 to 3 weeks.
The homless ministry is going very well and the Lord continues to use us every Saturday morning to minister to them. A handful of them came to the Easter play, "He is Alive" held at the church. There continues to be quite a bit of spiritual warfare but the truth is spoken every week and we're thankful for that.
I have begun to meet up with James again (84 year old man who lives down the street), and it was great to see him again. His health is not good at all, and he remains cold when it comes to the things of God. I pray that he comes to know the Love of Jesus so that he might have hope and a reason for living out the rest of his life. He is extremely lonley and has no one to keep him company day in and day out. Please pray.
WHAT THE LORD HAS BEEN TEACHING ME:
Of all that the Lord has been teaching/showing me this month, it is the pursuit of Holiness. Not just to pursue it, but to have an enthusiasm for pursuing it! To be set apart for God's purposes and His alone for my life. It seems that the lines have been so blurred between Christians and Non-Christians that the people of this world can't even tell the difference most the time. We all listen to the same music, watch the same movies, take part in some of the same activities, talk about the same crude subjects. Some say that sounds extreme, i say amen. We can be so quick to pull the "liberty" card and so slow to lay down our rights for the sake of others. For those who read this and don't know the Lord, don't misunderstand me, Christianity is not about the "do's & don'ts" the what you can and can't do's. There is great freedom and liberty in Christ. "All things are lawful for me, but all things are not helpful. All things are lawful for me, but i will not be brought under the power of any."; "...But not all things edify."
1 Corinthians 6:12, 10:23. It's my earnest prayer that i would continually ask the Lord to search me and know my heart, to reveal whatever is not of Him (Ps. 139:23,24), and that the church as a whole would do that very same thing. We are only holy, only righteous, because of the One who lives in us. The Holy Spirit gives us the ability and Power to live lives that are above reproach, now we must do our part.
to some...im sure that went right over your head, it's all good. :)
PRAYER REQUESTS:
1. To finish Strong in my class (Ephesians)
2. For Sasha & Johnny's new walks with Jesus.
3. Homeless ministry.
4. James (84 year old). For an open heart, for Salvation.
